Located in Fulham, we found this flat, with a very old-fashioned interior and a need for new electrics and decoration. We have tried to make a state of the art new maisonette out of a small space. The main access is made through the ground floor, where there is also a small garage. Walking up the stairs to the second floor, we find the house’s main areas.
Previously composed by two small rooms, we decided to tear one down enlarging the master bedroom and leaving space for a bigger living room, which also integrates the open kitchen. The result is a bright and fresh open space that connects bedroom and bathroom by sliding doors being the last one the only enclosed space of the floor.
As a positive discovery, the roof was an unutilized space that is being used now taking advantage of an existing skylight access through an iron ladder. The owner is very happy enjoying the London rooftops views while having a drink.
